Perform mechanical subassembly, final assembly, functional testing, and basic lockwiring using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and calibrated test equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, route sheets, assembly instructions, and test specifications. Inspect completed assemblies, record inspection and test results, and ensure products meet customer and aerospace quality requirements. Perform touch-up and surface finishing activities, including paint, lacquer, and glaze applications as required. Maintain accurate production documentation and support product traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Follow Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and workplace safety practices while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Support continuous improvement initiatives and additional production activities as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of mechanical assembly, manufacturing, production, or mechanical work experience. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, test, and inspect precision mechanical components. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, route sheets, and test specifications. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, and basic inspection/test equipment. Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and commitment to safety. Basic computer proficiency and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Aviation & Aerospace, Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, or Precision Manufacturing industries. Experience performing precision mechanical assembly, functional testing, and product inspection. Familiarity with AS9100 , Lean Manufacturing, 5S , and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) practices. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges . Knowledge of aircraft fuel, fluid, hydraulic, pneumatic, or other precision mechanical component assembly is a plus. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet quality, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives in a manufacturing environment.
