This hands-on role is essential to building high-reliability instrumentation-including pressure calibrators, air data test systems, and force/torque calibration systems-used in mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. As part of the Raptor Scientific Family, our team develops and supports precision calibration instruments used across the Aerospace and Defense industry. We are focused on customer needs and provide full-spectrum support including engineering, calibration, manufacturing, and repair operations. The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Full benefits package available after 30 days.

RESPONSIBILITES

Assemble Mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems in accordance with engineering drawings and work instruction. Install tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, manifolds, and mechanical hardware to specification. Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly prints, and bills of material. Perform leak checks, pressure testing, and functional verification testing. Support assembly of pressure calibrators, air data test systems, and force/torque calibration systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems as needed. Support prototype builds and engineering development activities. Maintain accurate production and quality records.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in aerospace, industrial equipment, or defense manufacturing.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of material.
• Experience with pneumatic tubing and pressure systems preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Plex or equivalent preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.

OTHER SKILLS

Experience with pressure systems, instrumentation, or calibration equipment. Prior experience assembling or supporting Raptor Scientific products or similar aerospace/defense instrumentation. Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team.

Fluent with MS Office products:

Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Physical ability to lift or assist in lifting large items up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand for up to 4 hours a day and/or sit, type and use mouse for up to 6 hours a day.
