Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Line Setup Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, adjusting, and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. Your expertise in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting will be vital in minimizing downtime and optimizing packaging line performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality and safety. Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and set up packaging machinery and conveyor systems according to engineering schematics and technical specifications Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and low voltage testers Perform equipment repairs including welding (stick welding), electrical diagnostics, and component replacements to minimize production delays Read electrical blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, maintenance tracking, and documentation of repairs Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts safely while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices Knowledge of electrical systems including troubleshooting electrical circuits, systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Skilled in mechanical repair techniques including welding (stick welding), hydraulic system troubleshooting, pneumatic system analysis, and equipment troubleshooting Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is a plus for maintaining climate control equipment within the facility Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings accurately Experience with industrial electrician tasks such as electrical blueprint reading, low voltage wiring, and electrical diagnostics Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools Valid certification or experience operating scissor lifts safely in an industrial environment Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation when collaborating with team members or external vendors Fluency in English required; additional language skills are advantageous Join our team as a Packaging Line Setup Mechanic if you are passionate about maintaining high standards of machinery performance through expert troubleshooting and proactive maintenance. Pay:
$25.59 - $30.82 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
