Mechanical Assembly and Rework Technician Shift/Hours:
Day Shift:
8:00 am-4:30 pm;
Swing Shift:
3:00 pm-11:30 pm
Pay Rate:
$35.00-$42.00 per hour

Assembly & Soldering:
Solder electrical connectors and assemble large battery busplates using adhesives, compression fixtures, brackets, hand tools, and torque-controlled fasteners.
Rework & Modification:
Perform controlled rework, tab removal, and component modifications using Dremels, sanders, files, deburring tools, and power equipment.
Production Support:
Support prototype builds, engineering trials, and low-volume production of large-format mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
Quality & Cleaning:
Prepare surfaces and clean parts to manufacturing standards; inspect completed assemblies for dimensions, alignment, fit, surface condition, and workmanship using basic measuring tools.
Process Improvement:
Set up and maintain tools/fixtures, identify assembly issues, and provide actionable feedback to improve tooling and work instructions.
Documentation & Safety:
Document completed work, process results, and defects; maintain a clean, safe workstation following all safety and PPE protocols. Other duties as assigned Mechanical Assembly and Rework Technician Qualification Skills include: Associate degree, trade-school training, or technical certification. Prior hands-on soldering experience (or demonstrated ability to rapidly master product-specific soldering techniques). Familiarity with surface preparation, adhesives, clamping, bonded assemblies, or torque-controlled fastening. Background working directly with busbars, busplates, battery components, sheet-metal assemblies, or industrial equipment. Mechanical Assembly and Rework Technician Requirements may include:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, paired with hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or production rework.
Tooling Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience using hand tools, power tools, assembly fixtures, basic measuring equipment, and rotary/fabrication tools (e.g., Dremels, sanders, files).
Technical Aptitude:
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, rework procedures, and visual quality standards.
Core Competencies:
Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, basic data-entry/documentation skills, and effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform repetitive high-dexterity tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, safely maneuver large components, and wear all required PPE.
