Mechanical Assembly Technician Job Location:

San Luis Obispo, CA About Us Blair Engineering is a manufacturer of high-speed turbomachinery and other industrial equipment based in San Luis Obispo, CA. We have been in business since 2012 and are looking to fill new positions as we expand. About the Position We are looking for a full-time Mechanic / Assembly Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this job is someone with a positive attitude who is dependable and willing to take direction. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge and close attention to detail. Duties & Responsibilities Disassembly and assembly of industrial equipment. Cleaning parts prior to assembly; maintaining a clean and organized work space. Stripping, sandblasting and painting metal components. Bending & installing conduit; pulling wire and other basic electrical work. Operating forklift; rigging & lifting heavy equipment. Other duties as assigned. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 3 years related mechanical experience. Able to lift, stack and move heavy materials (50+ pounds); climb ladders, etc.

Required experience:

at least one year building, assembling, working with industrial machinery.

Preferred experience:

forklift operation, use of micrometers and indicators, basic electrical work, high precision machinery experience.

Details Hours:

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
