Swing / Night shifts are open Monday - Friday Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of equipment and facilities at our chemical manufacturing and distribution facility in Sacramento, CA. The role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues, and maintaining a safe work environment in alignment with operational goals and objectives. Responsibilities Complete projects assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Maintain plant assets and mechanical systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment utilization and life. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and own work processes to meet deadlines. Contribute effectively in a team environment. Adhere strictly to established company policies, safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and industry safety practices. Communicate effectively and follow detailed instructions both verbally and in writing. Understand, interpret, and follow technical construction and mechanical drawings and plans. Safely use hand tools and other chemical plant machinery such as JLGs and forklifts. Work safely in various climates, including hot/cold and dry/humid conditions. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience with a high level of competency in a general maintenance environment. Experience with mechanics, rotating equipment, piping fitting, and welding. Competency in electrical systems, including PLC, HMI, and general control systems. Knowledge of basic computer functions, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Ability to read and understand technical construction and mechanical drawings. Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a chemical or petro-chemical manufacturing environment preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is within a manufacturing facility that requires adherence to safety protocols. Employees will work with various technologies and equipment and must be prepared to operate in various climate conditions, including hot, cold, dry, and humid settings. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
