Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electromechanical Maintenance Electrician to join our operations team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex automated manufacturing machinery and electro-mechanical systems combining electrical circuitry with mechanical components. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in 3-phase high voltage distribution and standard mechanical systems, along with a strong preference for familiarity with PLC diagnostics and programming (i.e., Allen-Bradley). Your goal is to maximize equipment uptime, maintain smooth production operations, and execute strict preventive maintenance routines. Core Responsibilities Electrical & Controls Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical control circuits, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), AC/DC motors, and 3-phase systems up to 480V. Diagnose PLC and HMI anomalies using ladder logic, such as specific focus on Allen-Bradley platforms (such as ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and RSLogix/Studio 5000 software). Modify or perform minor programming updates to automated sequences to optimize machinery performance. Interpret and update complex electrical blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical diagrams. Run conduit, pull wire, size transformers, and replace breakers or switches following the National Electrical Code (NEC). Mechanical & Systems Maintenance Maintain and repair mechanical assemblies, including pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and gear drive components. Perform root-cause diagnostics on malfunctioning automated lines by testing the intersection of mechanical motion and sensor logic. Utilize precision testing tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calipers to measure component wear and calibration accuracy. Execute general facility repairs, welding fabrication, and equipment rigging as needed. Compliance & Preventive Safety Adhere strictly to standard industrial safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E guidelines, and OSHA rules. Operate aerial platforms, scissor lifts, and forklifts safely at varying heights. Log routine checks, spare parts utilization, and break-fix actions accurately within the company's Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Job Requirements & Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation is highly preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an industrial maintenance electrician or electromechanical technician within a manufacturing environment. Active Journeyman Electrician License or an accredited Industrial Maintenance Electrical Certification is a major plus.
Technical Competencies PLC Programming Preference:
Proven experience navigating PLC hardware and software environments. Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot ladder logic to isolate physical hardware failures vs. software bugs. Strong foundational understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industrial electrical distribution. Proficiency in diagnosing fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics) alongside mechanical wear items. Computer literacy to effectively utilize industrial diagnosis software and CMMS tracking tools. Physical Requirements Ability to work in awkward or elevated positions (up to 30 feet or higher using lifts). Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and spending long periods standing, bending, or walking across a busy plant floor
Pay:
$27.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
