PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Test Technician in Stratford, CT.

As a Test Technician, you'll support the assembly, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical systems used in a highly technical aviation environment. Your hands-on expertise will help ensure equipment and assemblies are built, maintained, and operated safely and accurately.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, technical documents, and formal work instructions.
• Perform assembly, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical assemblies.
• Use a variety of hand tools to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Safely operate handheld power tools in support of fabrication and maintenance activities.
• Operate non-automated stationary equipment, including drill presses, band saws, chop saws, and hydraulic presses.
• Support the fabrication, modification, and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulicponents and equipment.
• technical knowledge to troubleshoot problems andplete assigned work accurately.
• Work collaboratively within a technical team whilepleting assignments with minimal supervision or direction.
• Follow established safety requirements, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Perform assigned duties around potentially hazardous conditions while maintaining a strongmitment to workplace safety.
• What You Bring
• Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience operating non-automated, stand-alone equipment such as:

Drill press

Band saw

Chop saw

Hydraulic press

Experience using hand tools to assemble or repair machinery.

Experience safely operating handheld power tools.

Ability to understand and follow technical documentation and formal direction.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Commitment to following proper safety procedures in an industrial or technical work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

We're especially interested in candidates with:

Previous experience with aviation hydraulic systems and mechanical assemblies.

Experience with large industrial hydraulic power supplies and distribution systems.

Experience fabricating hydraulic pipes and hoses.

Knowledge or experience related to power trains and rotor systems.

Experience using precision measurement equipment.

Demonstrated experience reading and working from engineering documentation, drawings, and schematics.

Previous aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial experience.

Pay Details:

$35.00 to $50.00 per hour
