Job Description
Introduction to the Job As a First Line Support Production Engineer, you will help keep advanced semiconductor manufacturing systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will play a key role in supporting the production of complex mechanical modules that enable ASML's industry-leading lithography technology. Working closely with colleagues across engineering, quality, and operations, you will solve technical challenges, improve production performance, and help bring innovative technology to customers around the world. Based in Wilton, Connecticut, this First Line Support Production Engineer role combines hands-on problem solving with continuous improvement initiatives in a highly technical manufacturing environment. Role and Responsibilities As a First Line Support Production Engineer, you will spend much of your time on the production floor providing direct technical support. You will investigate issues, identify root causes, and help improve manufacturing processes to support quality, reliability, and efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical assembly, tooling, testing, and qualification issues. Investigate production disruptions and implement effective corrective actions. Develop troubleshooting guides, action plans, and root cause analyses. Evaluate nonconforming parts and recommend technical solutions. Support the creation and improvement of manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Review engineering designs and documentation to improve manufacturability. Drive improvements in product quality, production throughput, and operational efficiency. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with prior internship or co-op experience in a production or manufacturing environment Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical systems in a manufacturing, laboratory, or technical setting. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications. Knowledge of precision mechanical assemblies, motion systems, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis. Experience with mechanical tooling and test equipment. Exposure to process improvement methods such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or statistical process control is a plus. Familiarity with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SAP, or similar engineering systems is a plus. Knowledge of vacuum systems, leak testing, or contamination control is a plus.
