BrandSafway Washington, D.C. & Mid-Atlantic Region The United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) is currently recruiting qualified and motivated individuals for scaffold work with BrandSafway , one of our signatory contractors. BrandSafway has a significant need for scaffold workers to support several major projects that are currently underway or beginning soon. Opportunities include work on some of the most recognizable projects in the country. Current & Upcoming Projects U.S. Capitol Building - Washington, D.C. Work beginning in late August 2026. Bay Bridge Project Work is currently underway, with an ongoing need for scaffold workers. White House - Washington, D.C. Work is expected to begin in October 2026. Additional BrandSafway projects may also be available for qualified candidates. What You'll Do Scaffold workers will work as part of a professional construction team responsible for the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems used to provide safe access to construction and maintenance work areas.

Typical duties may include:

Erecting and dismantling scaffolding systems Handling and staging scaffold materials Installing scaffold components, platforms, guardrails, and access systems Working safely at heights and in active construction environments Following contractor, UBC, OSHA, and project-specific safety requirements Working effectively as part of a crew Maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality Who We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing scaffold work, and interested in building a career in the union construction industry. Military veterans and transitioning service members are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous scaffold or construction experience is beneficial, but candidates with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely as part of a team are also encouraged to apply. Background Requirements The White House and U.S. Capitol Building projects require enhanced background screening and additional eligibility requirements due to the sensitive nature of these locations. Candidates interested in these projects will be screened separately to determine eligibility. Not meeting the enhanced background requirements does not automatically disqualify you from employment. BrandSafway has additional projects that do not require the same level of background screening, and qualified candidates may be considered for those opportunities.
