In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging machinery and related equipment to ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measurement will drive efficiency and safety across our packaging lines. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on packaging equipment including conveyors, fillers, sealers, and labeling machines. Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Diagnose mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Document work orders, maintenance history, and equipment performance data. Perform equipment changeover as needed to accommodate production requirements. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify faults and implement effective solutions promptly. Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and third parties on troubleshooting complex issues and implementing process improvements to optimize equipment uptime and plant capacity. Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to electrical codes, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) regulations, and industrial safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety procedures related to electrical maintenance and high-voltage systems. Assist production team with daily work as needed. Experience Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance of packaging or similar machinery. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, belts, and bearings. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics involving low voltage, high voltage, schematics reading, electrical troubleshooting, and industrial electrician skills. Skilled in equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters; ability to analyze electrical blueprints effectively. Experience with liquid filling, capping, and labeling equipment is highly desirable. Demonstrated problem-solving skills combined with excellent analysis capabilities for engineering troubleshooting scenarios. Previous roles involving industrial mechanic responsibilities or electrical maintenance within manufacturing settings are preferred.
