We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Welder with strong sanitary TIG welding skills. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded industrial mechanic who can weld, fabricate, troubleshoot equipment and perform mechanical repairs.

Schedule:

Weekend availability is required. A significant portion of our work is performed during scheduled food and beverage plant shutdowns on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekday work may also be available depending on project schedules. Primary Responsibilities Fit and TIG weld 1"-4" stainless sanitary tubing Install and modify sanitary/process piping systems Perform steam piping repairs and installations Repair, rebuild and modify conveyor systems Perform industrial equipment maintenance Replace and repair bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pumps and related components Troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems Fabricate and install equipment supports Fabricate and repair handrails and platforms Perform light structural and I-beam welding Complete shutdown and preventative maintenance work in food/beverage facilities Qualifications Sanitary stainless TIG welding experience strongly preferred Industrial maintenance/mechanical experience Ability to fit and fabricate from field measurements Understanding of conveyor systems and industrial equipment Ability to read a tape measure and basic fabrication drawings MIG and Stick welding experience preferred Ability to work independently when required Reliable transportation Basic hand tools Dependable and safety-conscious Compensation $35.00-$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated abilities. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with extensive sanitary TIG welding and industrial maintenance experience. This position is intended for someone who is comfortable doing a variety of work. This is not strictly a welding position. You may be sanitary welding one day, rebuilding a conveyor the next and performing equipment or structural repairs on another project.
