Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Florida. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our engineering efforts by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence in service delivery. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and components. Utilize an ohmmeter to test electrical circuits and diagnose issues. Collaborate with engineers to implement design improvements. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Assist in the assembly and installation of new machinery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Provide technical support to other team members as needed. Material takeout and layout of tubing, plate and structural elements Fitting and fabrication of pipes, plates and tubing Welding Assembly of system components such as electric motors, coolers, filters. valves, etc Qualifications Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. Proficiency in using an ohmmeter for testing purposes. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Familiarity with safety standards in industrial environments. EducationHIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT TRADE SCHOOL COURSES OR DIPLOMA IS DESIRABLE
Experience Hydraulics Industrial Maintenance Skills High Mechanical Aptitude Good oral and written communication skills Fabrication equipment setup and operation Reading and comprehending Blueprints Understanding Dimensional Tolerances Strong Analytical Skills Ability to work alone or in a team setting Working ConditionsPRIMARILY WORKS IN SHOP ENVIRONMENT OCCASIONAL TRAVEL TO CUSTOMER FACILITY ABILITY TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS AND LIFT UP TO 75 POUNDS
