Based on Experience Position Summary PRT Staffing is seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for a large industrial facility in Hillsborough County, Florida. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial plants, power generation facilities, manufacturing environments, recycling operations, or similar heavy industrial settings. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment. Troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic systems, and rotating equipment. Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, seals, and other mechanical components. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals. Complete work orders and maintenance documentation. Assist with shutdowns, outages, and major maintenance projects. Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures. Work safely around operating equipment in a high-temperature industrial environment. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Qualifications 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred. Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and industrial process equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and determine root causes. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manuals. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights. Ability to work in hot, dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
