Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Tooling Technicians / Level 2 Millwrights for a long term project in Cape Canaveral, FL!
PAY:
$25-$32/HR depending on experience
PER DIEM
$125/day for days worked
HOURS:
50-60+

ASAP RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, modify, and reassemble tooling and mechanical equipment Diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning equipment received from the field or manufacturer Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Install, align, adjust, and precision-locate tooling and equipment Work closely with machinists, fabricators, assemblers, engineers, and technicians Develop practical solutions to mechanical problems while maintaining a high level of safety
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate 2+ years of mechanical, millwright, industrial maintenance, automotive, aircraft mechanic, or related experience Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license OWN reliable transportation to the job site
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Level 2 Millwright experience Automotive or aircraft mechanic experience Industrial multi-craft or mechanical trades experience Experience repairing tooling, machinery, fixtures, or large mechanical structures Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics Experience with precision measuring equipment and equipment alignment Aerospace, manufacturing, heavy industrial, automotive, or similar experience Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Comfortable working with large-scale equipment and complex mechanical assemblies Ability to visualize 3D space and work effectively at heights Dependable, adaptable, and safety-minded
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min Ability to pass military base background check Available for all required shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted Ability to kneel, crouch, twist, work in cramped spaces, and climb Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments, including heat, cold, and rain Exposure to fumes, odors, and noise Travel to other sites may be required MUST have valid driver's license and OWN transportation Candidates must attend an unpaid onsite interview during the hiring process Must be comfortable working at heights and around large aerospace structures
