POSITION SUMMARY
The Scheduler / Central Supply Coordinator is responsible for two core functions that keep the building running smoothly: coordinating and maintaining staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts and departments, and managing central supply operations to ensure nursing and clinical staff have the resident care supplies they need, when they need them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling Prepare and maintain the master staffing schedule for nursing and other departments. Coordinate shift coverage, including call-offs, vacations, and leave requests. Communicate schedule changes to staff and management promptly. Track attendance, overtime, and staffing patterns. Assist with recruitment scheduling and onboarding logistics. Support compliance with labor regulations and facility staffing requirements. Maintain accurate scheduling records and reports. Central Supply Maintain adequate inventory of resident care and clinical supplies (wound care, incontinence, PPE, and durable medical equipment). Monitor par levels, place supply orders, and track deliveries with approved vendors. Receive, inspect, and stock incoming supply shipments. Distribute supplies to nursing units and departments as needed. Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits, and reconcile discrepancies. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of supplies in compliance with infection control and regulatory standards. Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and department heads on supply needs and budget considerations. Maintain accurate central supply records, including usage and charge tracking as applicable. Track resident care equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) and coordinate repairs or replacement. General Perform other scheduling, central supply, and administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Scheduling, staffing, or administrative experience preferred. Central supply, inventory, or materials management experience preferred. Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to lift and move supply boxes and cartons as needed.
