Job Description

Heidelberg Materials, a premier provider of construction materials in North America and part of the international HeidelbergCement Group, seeks a dedicated Mechanic Trainee to join our dynamic team. This position is critical in maintaining the reliability and operational efficiency of our wide range of construction machinery and equipment. As a Mechanic Trainee, you will work under experienced mechanics, gaining hands-on experience and insights into mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems in an industrial environment. Responsibilities Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components of machinery and equipment. Follow safety protocols and regulations within the workshop and on-site environments. Learn to diagnose issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems under guidance. Participate in inventory management and ensure tools and materials are available and in good condition. Support experienced mechanics in larger repair projects. Document maintenance and repair work for compliance and future reference. Required Skills Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to handle physical requirements of the job including lifting, standing, and bending. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and follow instructions diligently.
