Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assemblers to join our successful international company start-up in Council Bluffs, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling precision components and products for mobile aviation refueling equipment shipped to the local US and global markets. Your expertise in mechanical assembly, measurement instruments, and technical drawings will ensure high-quality output that meets strict specifications. Duties Ability to read drawings, jobs sheets and production schedules and determine product or job instructions and specifications Must be able to safely operate the hand tools and machinery required for the performance of duties Will be required to examine work for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Must set up and operate hand and power tools as needed for the task Will examine equipment, materials and products for defects and notify supervisor of such Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings. Ability to rebuild and modify mechanical components including intricate parts. Safe operation of tools and machinery Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling manual or mechanical handling tasks safely. Skills Relevant certifications or vocational training is desirable Knowledge of hydraulic functions required Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence in interpreting complex diagrams. Strong knowledge of measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality assurance. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in assembly techniques utilizing hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements, calculations, and conversions during assembly tasks. Experience with interpreting technical drawings and production documents to ensure precise assembly operations. Knowledge of safety procedures including proper PPE use and manual handling techniques to maintain a safe working environment.
