Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to be based out of our Harvey, IL location. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this person will be responsible for the development & troubleshooting of processes and product lines as related to design, material, or process. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. What you'll do: Facilitate & participate in concept brainstorming & strategy sessions. Influence and propel multi-functional team members to achieve stretch goals. Work as a "hands-on" Engineer developing and troubleshooting product lines as related to design, material, or process. Maintain and modify plant equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient. Plan and design experiments and conduct data analysis in support of product lines. Design and implement test methods and equipment to support product development. Responsible for research & engineering documentation. Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting & diagnosing design and manufacturing quality problems. Conduct feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality or to assess existing technologies. Research future concepts within market including the monitoring of technology trends. What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering. 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent in 2D CAD applications - AutoCAD.
