Why This Role Matters As a Production Mechanic, you are not just fixing equipment—you are protecting uptime, ensuring product quality, and directly impacting customer satisfaction. Your expertise keeps our operations moving and our standards high. What You'll Be Doing Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime Repair, replace, and rebuild machine components with precision Disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble production equipment Identify potential failures before they happen and take proactive action Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation Keep tools, parts, and shop areas clean, organized, and ready for use Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance efficiently Support new product launches by modifying equipment and conducting test runs Collaborate with other technical experts to improve equipment reliability and performance Operate production equipment as needed and assist in training operators What Sets You Apart Strong mechanical aptitude—you understand how things work and how to fix them A proactive mindset—you don't wait for problems, you prevent them Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team Clear communication and strong organizational skills Attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right the first time Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Qualifications 1-2 years of mechanical or maintenance experience Vocational or technical training preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience) Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Strong visual inspection capability for machinery and components Why Join Pelton Shepherd Industries?
