Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic II to support reliable operation of our manufacturing plant. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment including conveyors, crushers, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, align and replace bearings and belts, and assist with welding and fabrication. The position requires strict adherence to safety procedures, accurate maintenance documentation, and collaboration with production teams to minimize downtime in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant machinery and equipment Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems Repair and maintain conveyors, crushers, motors, and related equipment Install, align, and replace bearings, belts, and mechanical components Support basic welding and fabrication for equipment repair and modification Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures Document maintenance activities and keep accurate service records Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime Assist with root cause analysis of equipment failures Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in an organized, safe condition Required Skills Industrial equipment troubleshooting Mechanical repair and assembly Preventive and predictive maintenance Hydraulic systems maintenance Pneumatic systems maintenance Conveyor and crusher maintenance Welding and basic fabrication Mechanical alignment and rigging Reading mechanical drawings and schematics Safety procedures and lockout/tagout
