Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic II to support reliable, safe operation of our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as conveyors, crushers, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, complete work orders and maintenance records, and support root-cause analysis to reduce downtime. The position requires strict adherence to safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards while working closely with operations and other maintenance staff in a fast-paced, industrial environment. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant mechanical equipment and systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, crushers, motors, and related machinery Diagnose mechanical failures and replace or rebuild components as needed Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime Use hand tools, power tools, and welding/fabrication equipment as required Support root-cause analysis and reliability improvements for recurring issues Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions in maintenance areas Required Skills Industrial mechanical maintenance Equipment troubleshooting Preventive and predictive maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Conveyors and material handling equipment Welding and basic fabrication Blueprints and mechanical schematics reading Use of industrial hand and power tools Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
