PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire an experienced Assembly Mechanic for a hands-on role supporting the assembly, installation, inspection, sealing, rigging, and functional testing of precision aircraft structures and systems.

This is an opportunity for a highly skilled aviation professional to years of experience in a demanding manufacturing environment w accuracy, craftsmanship, safety, and quality are essential. Your work will help ensure thatplex aircraft assemblies meet rigorous engineering and quality requirements and are ready for the next stage of production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Assembly Mechanic, you will:

Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, andplete precision structural and systemponents.

Work from engineering drawings, blues, charts, sketches, work instructions, process specifications, and quality requirements.

Obtain and interpret technical information from ed, electronic, and verbal sources.

Use shop mathematics, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment toplete assignments.

Perform functional testing and correct fit, form, and function issues on assemblies andponents.

Utilize specialized tooling to assembleponents into sub-assemblies and finished products.

Verifypleted work against work instructions, engineering specifications, and established processes.

Identify and document discrepancies according to applicable procedures.

Operate conventional,puterized, and fastening equipment, including equipment involving less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.

Perform specialty assembly and installation work, including structures, doors, sub-assemblies, and precision bench assemblies.

Perform sealing operations, including integral fuel cell sealing.

Conduct pressure and vacuum testing as required.

Ensure tools and equipment are properly certified and maintained according to procedures.

Perform routine minor machine maintenance, including filter replacement, lubricationcoolant maintenance, and other basic Total Preventive Maintenance activities.

Safely move products within the manufacturing area using assigned shop equipment andplete required production transactions.

Maintain productivity andplete work within established schedules.

Support continuous product flow throughout the manufacturing process.

Train and assist employees at various classification levels in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.

Cross-train in inspection and work toward SIA qualification.

Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

SPECIALTY EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have strong skills and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

AssemblyInstallation of Structures

Sealing

Sub-Assembly

Door AssemblyInstallation

Integral Fuel Cell Sealing

Precision Bench Assembly

Pressure and Vacuum Testing

Drivematic or similar fastening processes

Conventional or CNC equipment operation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of relevant assembly mechanic experience; 11+ years preferred.

Extensive hands-on experience in aviation, aerospace, aircraft manufacturing, or a closely related precision manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, process specifications, and technical documentation.

Strong knowledge of precision assembly, installation, inspection, and functional testing.

Experience using precision measuring and test instruments.

Ability to perform shop mathematics and measurements accurately.

Experience using assembly tooling and manufacturing equipment.

Ability to identify discrepancies and follow established quality procedures.

Ability to work effectively within established production schedules.

Strong attention to detail andmitment to workmanship and quality.

Ability to work any assigned shift and support weekend and overtime requirements as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

11+ years of professional experience in aircraft or aerospace assembly.

Experience with structural assembly and installation.

Experience with sealing and integral fuel cell sealing.

Experience with pressure and vacuum testing.

Experience with precision bench assembly.

Experience operating conventional or CNC fastening equipment.

Experience training or mentoring other assembly personnel.

Inspection experience andor SIA qualification.

Experience with Total Preventive Maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
