On-the-job training with opportunity to develop into a skilled trade We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Shop Hand / Mechanic Apprentice who is interested in learning a skilled trade. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn mechanical repair, and is looking for a career they can grow into. No extensive mechanical experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who shows up consistently, works hard, and is eager to learn. Job Duties Assist experienced technicians with radiator, cooling system, and mechanical repair work Help remove, install, clean, inspect, and repair radiators and related components Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely Assist with troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs Clean and prepare parts for repair or installation Move materials, parts, and equipment throughout the shop Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow instructions from experienced technicians and supervisors Learn proper repair procedures and gradually take on more skilled responsibilities Perform other general shop duties as needed What We're Looking For Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools Interested in learning a skilled mechanical trade Dependable with consistent attendance Willing to get dirty and work in a hands-on shop environment Able to follow instructions and take direction Safety-conscious and willing to learn Able to lift and handle parts and equipment as required Previous shop, automotive, diesel, equipment, welding, maintenance, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required Reliable transportation to and from work Pay & Growth Starting pay is $12-$15/hour , depending on experience and mechanical knowledge. This position offers real growth potential for someone who wants more than just a general labor job. The right person will receive hands-on training while learning radiator/cooling-system repair and mechanical skills that can lead to increased responsibility and earning potential.
