Role:
Work on the operations shop floor to ensure additive manufacturing machines run effectively. Responsibilities include mechanical assembly maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, and assisting with equipment installation. Role is on-site in Devens, MA; hourly, non-exempt, Weekend Day Shift. Shift covers Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud environments.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule preventative maintenance activities on Additive Metal Printers throughout the facility
- Prioritize maintenance to minimize machine downtime
- Maintain 3D printing systems including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fiber laser subsystems
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and pneumatic assemblies; perform hands-on repairs and adjustments
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Machine Build, and Engineering to resolve issues promptly
- Identify and communicate required TPM updates through hands-on observation
- Provide status updates to management on assigned projects and maintenance tasks
- Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment and machines in production
- Read mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings and blueprints to perform maintenance duties
- Adhere to and support Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years job-related experience, preferably in industrial machine service, machine-building, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and pneumatics
- Familiarity working with complex systems and strong troubleshooting ability
- Ability to use hand tools and perform mechanical assembly and maintenance
- Comfortable working in a production environment with moving parts and variable noise levels
Preferred:
- 4+ years building or servicing automated equipment
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings and schematics
- High precision, close tolerance proficiency
- Experience with wiring, crimping, soldering, and ESD protection
- Familiarity with metric and standard measurement systems
- Awareness of design tools and techniques
Compensation:
- Level 1: \$24.72
- \$33.99 / hr
- Level 2: \$28.12
- \$38.67 / hr
- Level 3: \$32.60
- \$44.83 / hr
- Actual level and compensation based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
