Your day to day will be a mix of troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, and designing. We run 4 large blast furnaces to process perlite and vermiculite. All the furnaces and associated equipment are the responsibility of the maintenance department. You will have the freedom to improve systems, design solutions, and implement your ideas. This is a dynamic job and there is always a project in progress. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Troubles shoot, repairs, and preventative maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and controls. Installation of new and moving of existing machine modification Assist outside contractors that are installing and or repairing equipment. Perform all PM's on equipment Working with production supervisor to assist in any adjustments to enable to continue producing product. . Qualifications and Skills Required for Position High school degree Helpful to have working knowledge of electrical systems and machine controls as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Have an understanding of mechanical systems Ability to use hand and power tools confidently Must supply your own tools Additional Requirements For The Position Some bending and lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds is required. All machines/tools/equipment require the use of fingers, hands and feet to operate. Wearing Personal Protective Equipment as required by applicable health and safety laws. Weekend and evening hours may be required.
