Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Mechanic Assistant to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support skilled mechanics in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn technical skills essential for supporting machinery and systems. Responsibilities Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance and inspections of manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. Support the troubleshooting process by gathering data, observing machinery operation, and assisting in identifying mechanical issues. Use basic electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and verify circuit integrity. Help replace worn or damaged parts under supervision, including belts, filters, and mechanical components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency on the shop floor. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes. Assist in inventory management by tracking tools, replacement parts, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in mechanical systems is a plus. Basic understanding of mechanical principles and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
