Job Title:
Assembly Mechanic Job Description This role focuses on building and assembling hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery You will interpret blueprints, assemble complex tooling and manifolds, and ensure systems conform to specifications using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision, and a customer-focused mindset while working in a collaborative team environment Job Responsibilities Build hot runner systems for plastic injection machinery according to engineering prints and specifications Read and interpret blueprints to understand assembly requirements and ensure accuracy Use hand tools, including hammers, hex key wrenches, torque wrenches, and related tools, to assemble components Assemble nozzles to manifolds with close attention to fit, function, and quality. Assemble insertion halves and related tooling components as part of the manifold system. Assemble valve gate cylinders to manifolds and verify proper operation. Solder wires to heating elements to ensure reliable electrical connections and system performance. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers, hex key wrenches, torque wrenches, and similar tools. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tool or machine building. Mechanical aptitude for assembling complex tooling and manifold systems. Ability to solder wires to heating elements safely and effectively. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
