About the Role As a Senior Industrial Field Technician, you will play a critical role in the lifecycle of complex mechanical systems, ensuring seamless installation, relocation, and maintenance for diverse industrial clients. You will leverage your expertise in rigging and precision mechanical assembly to drive operational efficiency and minimize downtime across nationwide project sites. Responsibilities Execute the end-to-end installation, disassembly, and relocation of heavy industrial machinery using advanced rigging techniques. Interpret complex engineered drawings and schematics to ensure precise equipment placement and system integration. Perform comprehensive troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on mechanical components, including bearings, shafts, and drive systems. Fabricate and install mechanical utility infrastructure, including compressed air, water, and gas piping systems. Operate heavy machinery such as industrial forklifts, overhead cranes, and specialized rigging equipment safely. Provide technical mentorship to junior team members to ensure all site activities meet rigorous quality and safety standards. Document all service procedures and equipment configurations to facilitate future maintenance and operational continuity. Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and optimize site performance. Qualifications Required Skills 7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, millwright services, or mechanical field operations. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and installation manuals. Strong technical background in rigging, heavy equipment operation, and mechanical assembly. Ability to commit to 100% nationwide travel with a dedicated project team. Possession of a reliable vehicle for travel and a personal set of essential hand tools. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Skills Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical technology or industrial trades. Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and control integration. Experience with pipe fabrication tools, including threaders and roll groovers. Proven track record of leading small teams in high-pressure field environments.
