$33-$40 per hour Position Overview A heavy manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Skilled Maintenance Technician to support production equipment, facility systems, and day-to-day plant operations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on heavy industrial equipment and responding quickly to breakdowns while also supporting preventive maintenance and long-term equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production machinery. Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime. Maintain and repair motors, pumps, presses, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and related industrial equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects. Assist with troubleshooting controls, sensors, motors, and other electrical components. Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs accurately. Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements. Work closely with Production and other Maintenance team members to improve equipment reliability. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Welding or fabrication experience preferred. Experience supporting heavy manufacturing, forging, metals, stamping, machining, or similar industrial operations is a plus. PLC troubleshooting experience is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
