In this role, you'll troubleshoot production equipment, respond to mechanical breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This position is ideal for someone with experience maintaining conveyors, rotating equipment, bearings, gearboxes, and motors in an industrial manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production equipment. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Repair and replace conveyors, conveyor components, bearings, gearboxes, and motors. Perform shaft alignments on rotating equipment. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on compounding lines. Inspect bearings, couplings, belts, chains, and other mechanical components for wear. Read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment documentation to diagnose problems. Monitor and remove material build-up to maintain equipment performance. Assist with larger equipment repairs, installations, and changeouts. Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective actions. Work safely while supporting continuous production. Job Experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience maintaining rotating equipment, including: Conveyors Bearings Gearboxes Electric motors Ability to perform shaft alignments independently. Experience replacing conveyors and conveyor components. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals. Experience completing preventive maintenance routes with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around moving industrial equipment.
