Job Description
Overview The Mechanic is a member of the TLC 4x4 / Retro Design Team working to provide exceptional automotive restoration. This position reports to the General Manager of TLC 4x4. Duties and Expectations Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, interior, and exterior components. Examine customer vehicles. Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles. Install fabricated components. Request necessary parts. Follow all safety protocol. Document services performed. Check finished assemblies for defects, misalignments, or missing pieces. Fix mechanical or electrical problems found during the build process. Must be comfortable working around high end cars. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to communicate and work well with team members in the shop. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experienced automotive technician with strong mechanical skills Excellent problem solver who can figure out solutions independently Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Comfortable working on classic, vintage, and modern vehicles Works well with others and communicates effectively with the team Reliable, motivated, and takes ownership of assigned projects Able to follow build specifications and complete work correctly the first time Keeps a clean, organized, and professional work area High school diploma, or GED. Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day and physically lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to pass an background screening. Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
