Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment while supporting mechanical systems and occasionally assisting with electrical components. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on a variety of materials including steel, stainless, and aluminum Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Fabricate parts and assemblies to exact specifications Measure, cut, and prepare materials using hand tools and shop equipment Assemble mechanical components, machinery, and structural installations Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment Assist with basic electrical tasks such as wiring, connections, and component replacement Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in safe working condition Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred) 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes Ability to read blueprints and schematics Mechanical experience with equipment assembly and repair Basic understanding of electrical systems (wiring, motors, controls) Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment Preferred Qualifications Welding certifications (AWS or similar) Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance Forklift or equipment operation experience Key Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Mechanical aptitude Basic electrical comprehension Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management and reliability Work Environment Shop and field work environments Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial conditions Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required Benefits 401(k) with company matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Flexible spending account Life insurance Paid time off Pay Range $25.00/hr.
