Maintenance Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
Inspect and test machinery to ensure proper functioning Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear replacing worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts as needed Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, and hand tools, or power tools Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair Operate hoists or other moving or lifting equipment Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other preventive maintenance Inspect mechanical components to identify problems Trouble shoot electrical controls and components and repair as needed
Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred but not required 2-3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred but not required All relevant experience will be considered
Skills/Abilities Required :
Basic computer skills Must be able to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand and power tools and shop machines Must be able to work in extreme temperatures Knowledge of manufacturing/packaging equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment and conveyors Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to learn quickly Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends JBS is an equal opportunity employer.
