Job Description
About the Job As part of a small and passionate team of developers and engineers, you will play a key role in creating electronic sensors, navigation and guidance systems. Your contributions will play a key role in commercializing advanced location and navigation technology and transitioning them from R&D to development and into production. This role is focused on mechanical engineering and includes a diverse range of technical responsibilities including system design, drafting, modeling, measuring, testing and validation, as well as leading continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing and engineering processes. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment while contributing to innovative solutions, demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. Engineering opportunities exist at multiple experience levels. Responsibilities DESIGN Design and draft mechanical parts using best practices for parametric modeling and GDT to facilitate design reuse as well as fabrication. Build prototypes to guide and inform final architecture decision making Redesign exiting products to address shortcoming and reduce cost of existing designs. Fabricate new components and assemblies using 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, stamping, forming, forging, and casting Design test procedures and conduct product validations. Participate in multi-disciplinary product development projects spanning mechanical, electrical, firmware and app development.
