In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, install, and maintain production equipment throughout the bakery while helping improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Our technicians work on a wide variety of automated production equipment including mixers, dividers, sheeters, moulders, proofers, reciprocators, tunnel ovens, conveyors, slicers, baggers, wrappers, spiral conveyors, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and facility systems. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, rebuilding equipment, and taking ownership of improving machine reliability, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment failures. Perform emergency repairs while minimizing production downtime. Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on production equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes rather than simply replacing parts. Repair and rebuild gearboxes, conveyors, rollers, shafts, bearings, chains, sprockets, and drive systems. Install, align, tension, and track conveyor belts. Repair and replace bearings, bushings, pillow blocks, rollers, chains, sprockets, motors, reducers, and pneumatic cylinders. Troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, VFDs, motors, and electrical controls. Read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and equipment documentation. Perform precision alignments and mechanical adjustments using proper measuring tools. Fabricate or modify machine components when necessary using welding, cutting, drilling, and machining equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and reducing unplanned downtime. Follow all Food Safety, GMP, Lockout/Tagout, and OSHA safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area after every repair. Equipment You'll Work On Our maintenance team services equipment throughout the entire bakery, including: Make-Up Equipment Mixers Dividers Sheeters Moulders Reciprocators Pressure Plates Flour Dusters Board Feeders Baking Equipment Tunnel Ovens Oven Loaders (TOLs) Pre-Loaders Oven Tracking Systems Spiral Conveyors Packaging Equipment Slicers Baggers Wrappers Perfect Scorers Metal Detectors Conveyors Pallet Wrappers Facility Equipment Boilers Compressors Refrigeration Equipment HVAC Systems Water Systems Air Systems This role includes preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, equipment rebuilds, machine overhauls, installations, and reliability improvements. Qualifications Required 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or similar environments. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
