Automation Maintenance Mechanic Puratos - 3.9 Pennsauken, NJ Job Details Full-time $24.69 - $35.49 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Lifting equipment Manufacturing plant facilities maintenance experience System troubleshooting Pneumatic machine repair Forklift Industrial equipment troubleshooting Boiler repair Mechanical pump maintenance Industrial pump maintenance and repair Materials handling Pallet jack Material handling equipment operation Production troubleshooting Full Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance across the manufacturing plant. This role collaborates closely with production and quality teams to ensure continuous operation and timely repairs.
Shift:
6 PM - 6 AM, 2-2-3 schedule Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain production output Provide resources and support to help the engineering team execute projects efficiently throughout the plant Operation, troubleshoot, and repair of Steam, Refrigeration, and Wastewater systems Fabrication of components, tools and equipment Execute and complete PM (Preventative Maintenance) work without production interruption as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Lead Direct actions as necessary to ensure safety Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); work order entry, completions, requisitions, inventory Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience Experience working on and around Sanitary Systems Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment working with pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps Experience fabricating components, tools, and equipment; Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) Boiler Experience - Blue or Black Seal Boiler License is a plus Desire and ability to learn about new and existing processing systems Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at elevated heights Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience preferred, but not mandatory Ability to work on electrical systems preferred; motors, drives, PLC's, temperature, flow and other control instruments and devices Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus Strong communication skills
Physical Demands:
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, squatting, crawling, push/pull, and gripping; frequent stooping/twisting, kneeling, reaching, constant standing, walking, visual acuity (near/far)
Environmental Conditions:
Occasional exposure to uneven ground, working at heights, and biohazards; frequent exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperatures, dust/fumes; constant exposure to hazards and machinery The following common allergens are processed in our facilities: wheat, eggs, dairy, and soy. Compensation:
Compensation for this role is hourly and will be based on your experience, skills, and location, with a typical hourly range between $24.69 and $35.49. This role is eligible for a Quarterly Incentive Program (QIP). This incentive is paid on a quarterly basis. Payments are based on the applicable factory or distribution center, along with individual attendance.
