Whether you have years of experience or are just starting out on your career path, we want to speak to you. The Assembly Technician assembles electric motors and gear boxes according to prints and specifications, ensuring that all products meet the company's high-quality specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands to complete the manufacturing process of creating a world class product. This is an integral role as the customer sees your pride of workmanship when the finished product reaches their door and exceeds their expectations. Role and Responsibilities Reads Bills of Material and follows procedures for assembly and test Uses precision instruments such as digital calipers to obtain proper fits and clearances Identifies any part or equipment defects and notifies manager to ensure prompt correction Verifies correct quantities of parts for the assembly at hand Supports Shipping & Receiving in packaging/unpackaging products Qualifications and Education Requirements Formal mechanical training or equivalent hands-on experience 1-3 years relevant experience Math requirement - Ability to add and subtract decimals and fractions Skills Ability to read blueprints, schematics and Bills of Material Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly General knowledge of hand and power tools Good computer and mathematical skills Manages time well for optimum efficiency Communicates clearly with coworkers Physical Requirements Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand for long periods of time
