Overview, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities:
Overview The maintenance mechanic is responsible for both planned maintenance and emergency repairs across the entire manufacturing facility. The nature of the job requires employees to be multi-skilled professionals as daily tasks may require mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and ability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete preventative maintenance tasks as directed noting any issues that cannot be corrected at the time of the PM. Complete predictive maintenance as directed noting any issues that cannot be corrected at the time of the PdM. Provide insight into improvement opportunities for existing PM/PdM content and frequencies. Perform repairs on production and facility assets demonstrating both mechanical and electrical knowledge as it relates to hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, control systems, power distribution, power supply, drives, ac/dc motors, computer, and PLC hardware. Troubleshoot and correct problems affecting safety, waste, quality, and throughput. Work at heights to perform building maintenance as required. Follow all EHS guidelines as they relate to routine and non-routine work such as LOTO and safe work permits. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Assist in providing correct part numbers and ordering information as needed. Complete and accurate entry of all work performed in company CMMS Role Contribution Level This position is an individual contributor. REQUIRED
High school education or GED equivalent or Vocational Training
REQUIRED
Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting
PREFERRED
Previous experience working with a CMMS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
REQUIRED
Ability to work within cross-functional teams as needed to accomplish company goals
REQUIRED
Electrical Fundamentals, Mechanical Fundamentals, Pneumatic Components.
REQUIRED
Interpersonal and written communication skills
REQUIRED
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
PREFERRED
PLC fundamentals and troubleshooting.
