Job Description
Field Technician - Industrial Mechanical Precision Staffing is seeking a Field Technician for a well-established industrial service operation in the Galion, Ohio area . This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude or industrial maintenance experience who wants to build their skills in rotating equipment, pumps, motors, alignment, and mechanical field service . Temp-to-Hire opportunity Hands-on training and development Work in both shop and customer-site environments Gain experience with industrial rotating equipment and mechanical systems Opportunity to work alongside experienced technicians Competitive pay Weekly pay through Precision Staffing Work on a variety of industrial and wastewater service projects Responsibilities Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment Inspect components for wear, vibration, and alignment issues Assist with troubleshooting and repair of pumps, motors, and related equipment Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals Safely operate hand and power tools Work alongside experienced technicians at customer sites and in the shop Assist with industrial and wastewater service work Maintain accurate service records, work reports, and parts documentation Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Participate in ongoing technical training and development Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Mechanical aptitude or technical training preferred 2-4 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or field service experience preferred Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience with pumps, motors, or rotating equipment preferred Ability to use precision measuring tools Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics Experience using hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license required Willingness to travel regionally as needed Ability to work independently and as part of a team
