NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking an Assembly Technician for a Eugene Based company that assembly heavy equipment that serves the mining industry. This is an evaluation to hire opportunity and full-time position with a significant amount of overtime.

JOB DUTIES

• Clean and assemble component parts, machined parts and subassemblies
• Use various hand tools, pneumatic tools, hydraulic tools and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks
• Remove burrs and rough spots from parts with hand file, hone stone or portable pneumatic grinder
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move parts and materials in and out of work area and to assemble large components
• Perform minor adjustments, repairs or setups to equipment or machines under supervision
• Perform all required job functions in a safe manner consistent with plant safety standards and report any problems immediately to the team leader or Department Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned: may include basic welding, washing, primer and painting of components or assemblies

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 years mechanical repair or assembly.
• Experience in assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and some electrical systems.
• Knowledge of circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power transmission equipment.
• The ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical and electronics blueprints and designs.
• Good shop math skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.
• Overhead crane experience.
• The ability to read BOM's and do quality checks on finished machinery.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a semi-consistent basis.
• Can stand, stoop, bend, push and pull for a 10-hour shift.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Mig welding experience is preferred.
• A can-do attitude and work effectively and efficiently with other team members, the customer, and with the engineering staff.
• A safety-first attitude.
• Great attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.
• Pre-placement Background Check and Drug Screen (THC ok)

Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am w/OT on Fridays

Pay Rate:

$20.00-$23.00/hr w/$2.00/hr shift differential
