Industrial Mechanic (Water/Wastewater)

M-F 7:30am-4:00pm

Pay Range:

$26- $31/hr

Qualifications:

Five years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role. Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, generators, valves, and related mechanical equipment. Proficiency in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. A high school diploma or equivalent.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

An Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience. A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record. Forklift experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, lubrication, oil changes, meter readings, adjustments, and other routine maintenance. Complete and document work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems. Repair and replace components including bearings, seals, packing, pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment. Evaluate equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and prevent recurrence. Independently perform routine repairs and participate in complex major equipment repairs. Perform plumbing and pipe fitting tasks, including cleaning, repairing, replacing, and installing piping and related components. Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, weld, and fabricate components as qualified. Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment. Coordinate maintenance activities with operations staff to support safe, reliable, and uninterrupted treatment plant operations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and work histories. Maintain an organized spare-parts inventory and assist in identifying critical replacement parts and inventory needs. Maintain facility, shop, equipment, and work-area appearance and organization. Follow established safety procedures and actively contribute to a safe and healthy work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. #
