Job Description The Second Ops Technician plays a crucial role in supporting secondary operations activities. This position involves performing tooling set-ups, aiding in troubleshooting production issues, and monitoring product quality and process productivity. The technician will also perform equipment set-ups, including installing injection molds and ensuring the equipment generates good parts. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including replacing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and supporting automation. Perform equipment setups as directed. Support maintenance systems and perform activities as needed. Collaborate with maintenance and process engineering to troubleshoot and repair system failures. Collect and enter data to support procedures and engineering tests. Interact positively with employees. Train employees on using technical equipment such as automation, CNC, and other machines. Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills Mechanical inclination and troubleshooting skills. Experience in machine setup and operation. Knowledge of injection molding and automotive mechanics. Ability to read blueprints and operate hand and power tools. Basic to moderate computer skills, particularly in MS Office. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Mechanical aptitude is preferred. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Proficiency in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Flexibility to work varying schedules during training. Work Environment This role is based in an Injection Metal Molding company with a floor stacked with molding machines, creating a fairly crowded environment. The work environment maintains a high level of safety focus. The available work schedules are Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
