Job Description
Clemens Food Group is hiring a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair the equipment supporting our Wastewater Treatment operation. This role is ideal for someone experienced with pumps, motors, valves, piping, bearings, belts, chains, and fluid-handling systems who enjoys solving mechanical problems and improving equipment reliability. What You'll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts, chains, and drive systems Maintain wastewater-processing equipment and supporting mechanical systems Respond to breakdowns and partner with Operations to return equipment safely to service Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime Adjust, align, lubricate, and repair belt and chain-drive systems Troubleshoot fluid-handling issues involving flow, pressure, valves, seals, and related components Complete industrial plumbing and mechanical piping repairs Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting Read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics Support safe equipment startup and shutdown procedures Complete mechanical projects from initial diagnosis through final repair Document maintenance, repairs, inspections, and project work accurately Follow Lockout/Tagout and all other required safety procedures Partner with Wastewater Operations and Maintenance to improve equipment and processes What We're Looking For Working knowledge of motors, pumps, valves, bearings, belts, chains, and drive units Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Knowledge of preventive maintenance and lubrication practices Industrial plumbing or mechanical piping experience Basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical knowledge Ability to understand how mechanical equipment affects the overall treatment process Ability to organize projects and follow them through to completion Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication skills Preferred Experience Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Wastewater, water-treatment, rendering, food-processing, or other heavy-process experience Pump and fluid-handling system maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting Conveyor, belt, and chain-drive maintenance Welding or fabrication Experience using a CMMS or preventive-maintenance program Know the Environment Our Wastewater Treatment Plant plays an essential role in supporting manufacturing and improving our environmental performance by treating process water safely and effectively.
