Job Title:
Container Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling storage containers for batteries in a heavy industrial environment. You will perform general mechanical assembly tasks such as caulking, hanging doors, and using hand and power tools to build and finish containers according to specifications. The position requires reliability, the ability to follow directions, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities Assemble storage containers for batteries using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical techniques. Apply caulking and sealants to containers to ensure proper sealing and durability. Hang and install doors and related components on storage containers according to instructions and specifications. Use wrenches, rivet guns, and other tools to fasten, tighten, and secure parts during the assembly process. Follow detailed directions from supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule. Work on an assembly line or in a production setting to meet daily and weekly output goals. Perform general labor tasks related to construction-style assembly work, including lifting, positioning, and aligning parts. Inspect assembled components for basic quality and completeness and report any issues or defects. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely. Collaborate with team members and support a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. Essential Skills Ability to use hand tools, including wrenches and basic mechanical tools, for assembly tasks. Ability to operate power tools safely, including drills and rivet guns. Mechanical aptitude and comfort with mechanical assembly work in an industrial setting. Capability to perform general labor and construction-related tasks, including standing, lifting, and working with tools throughout the shift. Ability to follow directions accurately and work effectively as part of a production or assembly line team. Strong attendance and reliability, with the ability to show up consistently and on time for work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
