Job Description Join our team as a Parts Runner/Junior Service Technician and contribute to the efficient operations of our manufacturing facility. As a Parts Runner/Junior Service Technician, you will play a vital role in tasks such as assembly line work, utilizing power tools, forklift operation, fabricating materials, and maintaining the warehouse. This position requires someone with mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools to support our factory operations effectively. Why Delval? Build Valuable Product Knowledge. Delval operates from five locations across Pennsylvania and Maryland and serves customers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. What You'll Do Deliver and stage parts for upcoming service jobs. Stay flexible with the schedule and remain at the job site until work is completed. Maintain a clean work area, including cleaning up before leaving for the day. Assist technicians and welders with loading and unloading equipment and tools at the start and end of shifts. Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems, electrical systems, controls, and burners. Perform any tasks needed to prepare for or take part in the fabrication of materials such as metal, piping, and tubing. Assist service technicians and welder/mechanics with preparation and support during or after projects, including annual cleanings, installation, upgrades, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and refractory repairs/replacement. Perform additional duties as required. What You'll Bring Basic electrical and mechanical background. Highly motivated, independent, and comfortable with change; able to take initiative, organize, prioritize, and stay focused. Manual dexterity, strength, endurance, flexibility, and the ability to follow details to precision. Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed. Eagerness to learn, openness to constructive criticism, and willingness to ask questions — this is a learning position as well as a manual labor position. Competence (not expertise) in machinery repair and installation, general electrical work, plumbing, pipefitting, and welding.
