2nd
Shift Foreman Pay:
$75,000 annual salary. With benefits you're looking at $95,000 total per year
Shift:
2:30pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday Job Description This role leads a union production team on the 2nd shift in an industrial facility, working hands-on with mechanical systems and conveyor-based production lines. You will train on 1st shift for several months, then transition permanently to 2nd shift. The position focuses on keeping the plant running efficiently by performing mechanical work side by side with union members while planning, coordinating, and overseeing production activities to minimize downtime and meet deadlines. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of approximately 15-30 union production employees on 2nd shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Work hands-on with mechanical aspects of machinery and production lines, including conveyor systems, gears, and belts. Plan and schedule production activities to keep the plant running smoothly and ensure production goals and deadlines are met. Monitor and prioritize workflow across the production floor, adjusting plans as needed to respond quickly to issues. Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and related equipment to minimize downtime. Use hand and power tools to repair, adjust, and maintain mechanical components on packaging and blowmold lines. Essential Skills 5-10 years of experience in a hands-on mechanical or industrial role with responsibility for production and equipment uptime. Proven experience planning production activities and keeping a plant or production line running efficiently. Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience working on conveyor systems, including gears and belts. Proficiency using hand and power tools for maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment. Experience performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with unionized production teams. Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with minimizing equipment downtime through proactive maintenance and quick-response repairs. Comfort learning new production lines and machinery to deepen troubleshooting capability. Strong communication skills for reporting progress and coordinating with leadership. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and production demands simultaneously. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Kees Rocks, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
