Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic/Utility Person to support safe, reliable manufacturing operations at our facility. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, and plant systems while maintaining plant utilities such as air, water, and lubrication. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and assist with installations and upgrades. Working in our safety-focused, collaborative culture, you'll help reduce downtime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement across the operation. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, crushers, and plant systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant machinery and utilities Support safe startup, shutdown, and changeover of production equipment Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components and parts as needed Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage in CMMS or logs Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures and standards Collaborate with operators and supervisors to minimize downtime and improve reliability Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and capital projects Monitor and maintain plant utilities such as air, water, and lubrication systems Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping of maintenance areas Required Skills Industrial mechanical maintenance Equipment troubleshooting Preventive and predictive maintenance Hydraulics and pneumatics Welding and fabrication Blueprints and schematics reading Alignment and rigging Use of hand and power tools CMMS or maintenance documentation Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures
