We are looking for a mechanically inclined Prefabrication Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for assembling bathroom skids, pipe hangers, stands, and other prefabricated plumbing assemblies. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, enjoys working with their hands, and has experience with copper pipe, soldering, brazing, or related mechanical assembly work. We are willing to train a dependable individual with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Responsibilities Assemble bathroom skids, pipe hangers, stands, and other prefabricated assemblies according to specifications Work with copper piping and related plumbing materials Perform soldering and brazing tasks as needed Paint pipes, pipe racks, stands, and other fabricated components Read measurements and ensure assemblies meet quality standards Receive, organize, and stage materials for production Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in all work performed Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power tools safely Experience working with copper pipe preferred Knowledge of soldering and brazing techniques preferred Plumbing, HVAC, pipefitting, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to stand for up to 90% of the workday Ability to work in an environment with ongoing exposure to loud noise up to 90% of the workday Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up to 90% of the workday Sound judgment and critical thinking skills Reliable, punctual, and dependable Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Preferred Experience Copper piping installation or assembly Plumbing or pipefitting HVAC installation or fabrication Soldering and brazing Manufacturing or industrial assembly Construction or mechanical trades
