Job Description
Job Overview Responsible for carrying out various electrical & mechanical maintenance tasks. Install and inspect machines and electrical equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational. Performing mechanical & electrical troubleshooting and repairing of mill equipment such as: planer mills, saw and grinders.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts Maintain 2300 Volt Power Distribution System Minor hydraulics repair Light welding & fabricating Basic plant maintenance Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance Mechanical and electrical repairs of overhead cranes Completes maintenance reports for work performed Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsQualifications and Skills:
Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings In-depth knowledge of system maintenance Knowledge of Distribution Transformer Systems Knowledge of PLC- Programmable Logical Controllers preferred Repairing AC/DC overhead cranes Knowledge of AC frequency drives Forktruck maintenance & repair Ability to lift and move heavy equipment Familiarity with safety standards and regulations Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED AND ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED
